Of course! summer is an incentive to get our bodies beach ready. The sun is shining, the days are longer, and the thought of lounging on the beach in the glearing sun, with your body wrapped around a towel like a zombie, trying to hide your wobbly bits, doesn’t appeal to you. So, you kicked start the summer on a health and fitness plan to achieve that desirable beach body. It worked! But, summer is drawing to an end and you are dreading the long, cold, winter months, that are fast approaching. Does this mean you put away your health and fitness plan until next summer? Or are you committed to your new and improved healthy lifestyle? Your body is for life, not just summer!
It’s time to set new goals, to keep you focused and motivated. If you enjoy running, have you considered entering a 5k, 10k or maybe even a marathon? Set a time frame of 3-6 months to prepare, make a fitness plan and most importantly stick to it. Sometimes, an incentive is just the thing we need to keep us motivated.
What about your diet? With Christmas around the corner, you’ll be tempted to indulge in lots of treats and alcoholic drinks. How can you not? when there is so much on offer. Don’t deprive yourself! You must have a treat now and again, but manage it wisely. Start buying healthy foods, think of recipes you can make. It doesn’t have to be everyday or difficult. But! If you start thinking about your meals and preparing them yourself, you won’t be so tempted to eat out or snack all the time. And! When you do have a social outing, you may think twice about your food choices. There are always options!
